This Department welcomes the newly admitted students to the family of HIT, the Department is formed to help the new members of HIT family to adjust them with the new atmosphere without any difficulty.

The main aim is to import the sense of togetherness amongst the student and staff to smoothen the entry of new comers to technical education, not only for curriculum but also to develop the personality and ability to make it success

This Department is well equipped with laboratories as follows:
 

	Electrical Engineering Lab,		Mechanical Engineering Lab,
	Civil Engineering Lab,		Physics Lab,
	Chemistry Lab,		Workshop,
	Drawing Hall,		Computer Center.

Special Feature of this Department:

The newly admitted students are always in a stage of enthusiasm with an anxiety to do lot of things but they are confused. this Department gives the required boosting and guidelines to them.

Special effort are taken to teach and revise tough subjects by taking extra coaching from senior staff apart from regular classes.

The students are provided the best laboratory & workshop facility for practical with the guidance from the skilled staff members.

Regular class tests are conducted and reviewed. this enables periodic evolution of the progress of students and necessary steps are taken to overcome the short comings.

A teacher-Guardian scheme is implemented, in which few students are adopted by each staff member. they are guided by him for academic difficulties as well as personal problems in the campus.

Library facility is provided with permission to access books for issue as well as reference in the reading room, which is kept open for extra hours in examination period.

Industrial training in the industries like Bajaj Auto, Wipro, Siemens, Garware etc. is made compulsory for each student. special time slot is allotted for the same. ours is the only institute offering such facility.

Each class has separate class teacher to keep keen watch on the performance of the student. A periodic review is taken and student staff coordination is maintained for betterment of student.

Periodic report of the progress of the ward is communicated to the parents and "Parent Meet" is arranged in each term to have interactive session to review improvement in the teaching learning progress.
